The Ministry

Called to share the gospel of Jesus Christ using their musical and ministry gifts, Cherrie and Larry are traveling the country to minister to the broken hearted. Cherrie’s real life experiences and her testimony of how the Lord heals and restores are the inspiration behind the songs she writes. Her songs are expressions of her desire to see God’s people healed and restored. Her music is, also, meant to touch the hearts of those who have not yet been reached by the Saviors love. Most of all, her music serves to bless the heart of God, whom she loves and worships.

In every gathering there are hearts that need a special touch. Music is a tool that often reaches areas within the soul and spirit that nothing else will. It takes a sensitivity of the Holy Spirit that Cherrie and Larry both possess, to plan their presentation in such in such a way that will meet these special needs.

Although, Cherrie, an honored Female Vocalist and Songwriter by the Country Gospel Music Association, she is not an entertainer but a minister and her message is the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The History

Cherrie has had twenty plus years of growing in her relationship with the Lord, being healed and restored to wholeness. She lives what she ministers, starting at home with her husband and five children and extending out to neighbors, friends, and her church where she is actively involved in teaching and leading worship. The call to ministering in gospel music was a seed sown in Cherrie’s heart years before it actually took root. It was on the way back from Nashville in the fall of 1997, after attending the Country Gospel Music Association’s National convention, that the call upon her life took hold. The confirmation followed when Larry, Cherrie’s husband and partner in the ministry, felt the call too. After that, the idea grew to a reality and began to bear fruit the following year, with the advent of several services. But the music, most of which Cherrie writes herself, is only the vehicle for the ministry. Cherrie’s serves are uniquely structured to provide the maximum impact of the message her songs are written to communicate. Her music is arranged in much the same way a sermon would be structured to emphasize what she fells the Lord desires to say to each group she ministers to. The overall message is always centered around God’s love and our need of a personal relationship with Him. But often the emphasis is directed to specific areas of need.

A Bond of Love

Larry and Cherrie are living testaments of Christ’s love as His light shines through them in all aspects of their lives, starting at home and extending to neighbors, friends and their church where they are active in teaching, leading worship, and serving as sound engineer. They further extend to the body of Christ wherever they go through personal testimony, music and God’s word.

Joining Larry and Cherrie in payer and support are their son Charlie and his wife Shannon, daughter Brandi and her husband Brandon, and their son Benjamin and his wife Susan, and extended family Les and Tracey. Also supporting them is their church family, Pastor Dave and Susie Forsberg and Jesus is Ministries, Gloria Adams.

Women's Retreats

Cherrie has had twenty years of growing in her relationship with the Lord, being healed and restored to wholeness. Many times during Women's Retreats, she will share her stories of forgiveness and spiritual growth which has opened up the hearts of many women who needed to know that the pain does begin to go away, through the power of His love and forgiveness. Her gift of Music is not to be out done by her keen sense of wit, that seems to pop up un-expectedly during her services.
